Dr. Chris Hurley is a fellowship trained and board certified gastroenterologist serving the desert community. Dr. Hurley attended Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois and then received his medical school training at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois, completing his training there in 1989. He attended University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin from 1989 – 1992 for his Internal Medicine residency and then a fellowship in Gastroenterology from 1992- 1994.
Upon completion of his training, Dr. Hurley entered private practice as a member of a large multi-specialty physician group in Sioux Falls, SD where he practiced for nearly 15 years, before moving to the desert community of Palm Springs to continue his practice of medicine in the specialty of gastroenterology. |
Dr. Hurley has a background of being trained in a university setting with involvement in research studies and exposure to breakthroughs in medical technology as well as a wealth of experience in the day to day management of gastroenterology-related medical problems from his many years in private practice. He has expertise in a variety of endoscopic procedures and remains current and proficient in his practice with attendance at a variety of medical conferences.
Dr. Hurley is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialty of Internal Medicine and the subspecialty of Gastroenterology. Services offered include office consultation, outpatient endoscopic procedures (including upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP and motility and ambulatory pH monitoring studies) as well as consultative inpatient and emergency care at Desert Regional Medical Center.
